and empowering our military women through a variety of community outreach and awareness efforts. Our mission is to build a Monument and Museum to women veterans.

Michelle Caldwell

OUR FOUNDER

Michelle Caldwell is an outstanding community leader and a Veteran with a heart for serving others. She has a passion & vision for directing and making change. Her main focus is Veterans and she has developed countless programs to serve and enrich their lives. It would be impossible to list all of Michelle's contributions from a national, regional, and local perspective. Read more to see a few of her recent and most relevant highlights.

The Monument

World—renowned sculptor, Elizabeth MacQueen has been selected to create this magnificent masterpiece that will reach over 30 ft into the air with flames, and a laser beam over a stainless-steel elliptical band of flowing water.

Museum

In 2018 the City of Pensacola agreed to a 100-year lease of the existing run-down Amtrak train station on Heinberg street for the Monument to Women Veterans to establish a Museum to Women Veterans. The Monument to Women Veterans will restore and remodel the existing facility and maintain the building and grounds throughout the term of the lease.

Veterans and Addiction

Alcohol and prescription drug abuse is higher among active duty service members and veterans. Many of these people suffer from underlying post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Horses Help Heal

Horses help heal our Veterans' Invisible Wounds. The Equine Therapy Group applies the nature and relationship with the horse to help a person's natural way of dealing with new situations and solving problems.
